In conjunction with the International Conference, the organisers will be hosting a 1-Day Sectoral Capacity Building Programme (SCBP) on 17 November 2009. This programme comprises of a series of sessions under the theme of each priority areas i.e. Environment & Energy, Natural Resources (Forestry), Agriculture and Aquaculture and Ecotourism. We are expecting 20-40 participants to attend each session.
The areas of focus include Renewable Energy Project/ Technologies, Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), Biodiesel and Biomass Utilisation; Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade (FLEGT) Action Plan, Trade-Related Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS) and Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD); EU Food Safety Regulations, EU Generalised System of Preferences (EU-GSP), Sustainability of Palm Oil; Sustainable Management and Best Practices in Tourism and Natural and Cultural Heritage Site Conservation.
